Dwarf French Bean Sonesta produces generous crops of slender, stringless yellow beans that bring both colour and fresh flavour to the kitchen. The compact plants start cropping early and continue over a long period, producing tender pods around 12cm long. Pick regularly while young and crisp to enjoy steamed, lightly cooked as a side dish or sliced into colourful summer salads.

Position: Full Sun
Sow indoors April-May in pots of seed compost. Harden off and plant outdoors from May after the risk of frost, spacing around 15cm apart in rows 45cm apart. Alternatively sow outdoors from mid-April-July, around 5cm deep, protecting early sowings from frost with fleece. Keep plants well watered and weed free. Pick the slender pods regularly when around 10-12cm long to encourage further cropping. Harvest June-October.
