Delphinium Fountains Mixed produces sturdy spikes of colourful flowers, each highlighted by a contrasting central bee. More compact than many traditional delphiniums, the strong stems make a striking addition to cottage borders without usually needing staking. The flower spikes are excellent for cutting, while their nectar-rich blooms also provide a welcome food source for visiting pollinators.

Sow indoors February-April, around 0.5cm deep at 15-20°C. Thin or transplant seedlings at the 2-4 leaf stage and harden off before planting outdoors from late May, spacing around 45cm apart. Alternatively sow outdoors May-July in a seed bed, thinning as necessary and transplanting to the flowering position in September-October. Keep plants well watered while establishing. Flowers from June onwards.
