SOW INDOORS February-April, thinly 0.5cm/quarter-in deep in pots or trays of compost. Maintain gentle warmth and transplant seedlings 5cm/2in apart when large enough to handle. Harden off and plant out from late May, spacing plants 45cm/18in apart. SOW OUTDOORS late April-May, directly into the flowering position. Thin seedlings as necessary and remove faded flowers regularly to prolong flowering.
