Clubroot Resistant Brassica Veg Plant Collection

SKU: 55075

Brassica oleracea

The seeds we have been introducing for plants which show resistance to club root are among our most popular. We thought it would be a good idea to put them together into one plant collection. Varieties which show resistance to the club root scourge are a must for many of us!

Brussels Sprout Crispus F1 - If clubroot is a problem in your veg plot this early to mid season hybrid is for you. The dark green buttons stand in good condition on the tall plants for several weeks. Harvest from October.

Cabbage Kilaton F1 - At last a cabbage which has resistance to clubroot and what a cabbage! A large densely hearted ball-head with a lovely texture and flavour. Harvest From September.

Calabrese Monclano F1 - This quality club-root resistant variety produces firm, domed heads with fine beads. It is high yielding and has good resistance to downy mildew which also gives it good standing ability. Harvest from August.

Cauliflower Clapton F1 - Heavy, dense, late summer and autumn caulis of superb quality. Very white heads. Club root resistant. Harvest from September.

Excellent plants, pity about the couriers

I was away on holiday when the brassica collection arrived and I had them re-routed to a neighbour as soon as DT Brown emailed they had been despatched. A pity, then, that Evri left them on my broiling doorstep instead! Only by a stroke of luck did a local gardener see and rescue them. No matter. The plants were so fresh and well-packed that they came to no harm. I ordered the early season brassicas this year and have 8 inch cauliflowers and Calabrese. Fabulous. I am very impressed by DT Brown. Pity about the courier!
