Chilli Pepper Apache F1 is a compact, productive variety that's perfect for bringing home-grown heat to the smallest sunny spaces. The neat plants produce masses of attractive chillies that ripen from green to red and are ideal for pots, tubs and greenhouse growing. Pick them green for a fresher flavour or allow them to ripen fully for greater heat and colour, then use fresh in curries, sauces, stir-fries and salsas.

Sow indoors February-April, around 1.5cm deep at approximately 21°C, reducing the temperature to 15-18°C after seedlings emerge. Transplant when around 5cm tall into individual 7.5cm pots and grow on. Harden off in early June before moving to a warm, sheltered outdoor position, or grow in greenhouse pots or borders. Water regularly and feed once fruits begin to form. Harvest green fruits from June and ripe red fruits from July onwards.
