Beetroot Wodan F1 produces delicious, medium-sized roots that remain tender rather than becoming woody as they mature. This makes it wonderfully flexible in the kitchen: harvest young for sweet, tender baby beets or allow the roots to develop for roasting, pickling and hearty vegetable dishes. Reliable and easy to grow, it is a rewarding choice for beds, raised beds and containers.

Sow outdoors April-July, thinly and directly into the growing position around 2.5cm deep. Space rows approximately 30cm apart and, once seedlings have germinated, thin to around 10cm between plants. Keep the soil evenly moist and weed free to encourage tender, well-shaped roots. Harvest from June onwards, either young or when fully developed. Twist off the tops after lifting to reduce bleeding. Harvest June-October.
