Enjoy exceptionally sweet and tender baby beetroot from this uniform, easy-to-grow variety. Action produces smooth, round, deep red roots with their finest flavour when harvested young. The compact crop is perfect for pots, grow bags, raised beds and open ground, where it can be sown more closely for baby roots. Alternatively, leave the plants to develop into full-sized beetroot for roasting, pickling and salads.

SOW OUTDOORS mid-March-July, thinly and directly into the final growing position, 2.5cm/1in deep in rows 30cm/12in apart. Make further sowings at regular intervals for a continuous supply. Thin seedlings to 10cm/4in apart for mature roots or leave more closely spaced for baby beetroot. Keep well watered and weed free. When harvesting, twist off the leaves rather than cutting them to help prevent the roots from bleeding.
