Tulip Mixed Colours Flower Bulbs offer a vibrant mixture of tulips in reds, whites, yellows, pinks and other spring shades. The varied colours make this generous mix ideal for creating an easy, high-impact display across beds, borders and containers.

Supplied as 70 mixed bulbs, plants reach approximately 40-50cm (16-20in) and flower in April. They are also excellent for cutting. Plant from September to November in fertile, well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade.

Bulb size: 12+
Bulb sizes are measured by circumference in centimetres. A 12+ bulb measures at least 12cm around. Larger bulbs generally contain more stored energy, helping to support strong growth and an impressive flowering display.

When to Plant Tulip Bulbs?

Tulip bulbs should be planted in autumn, ideally between September and November, before the first hard frost. Planting them when it’s cool, but not cold, lets them set down roots before winter and helps them bloom in spring.

How Deep to Plant Tulip Bulbs?

Tulip bulbs should be planted about 15-20cm deep. A good rule of thumb to plant any kind of tulip bulb is to plant it in a hole roughly three times its own height. This protects it from extreme temperature variations and pests.

Do Tulips Come Back Every Year?

Tulips are technically perennials, but they may not always return as strongly each year. Some varieties tend to naturalise and come back year after year with smaller blooms, while with others, it’s best to replant annually if you want a consistent display.
