Product Description
Squash Butternut Mieluna F1 Seeds deliver reliable crops of smooth, richly flavoured butternut squash, bred for dependable performance in the UK climate. This vigorous variety is valued by ingredient-led growers for its strong resistance to powdery mildew and its ability to produce consistently high-quality fruits through the season.
Sow indoors from March to May, placing single seeds on their edge about 1.5cm (half an inch) deep in pots. Harden off and plant out from May to June, spacing plants 60cm (24in) apart in the vegetable patch or in generous containers on the patio. For outdoor sowing, place two seeds per position in May and thin to the strongest seedling, again allowing 60cm (24in) between plants. Early sowings appreciate the shelter of a cloche. Maintain steady moisture and keep the area weed free to support strong, healthy growth.
Harvest from September to November, gathering fruits as their skins harden and colours deepen for the best kitchen-ready results.

A handful of basil torn over pasta, rosemary crackled onto roast potatoes, or parsley snipped straight into a salad can transform a meal in seconds. Yet many of us share the same frustrating experience: a lush supermarket basil plant that looks perfect on Monday and is completely dead by Friday.
