Sow indoors from February to April, 0.5cm deep, maintaining gentle warmth. Prick seedlings out into further pots or trays when large enough to handle, harden off from late May and plant outside in June. Alternatively, sow directly outdoors from April to May in the flowering position and thin as necessary to 45cm apart. Keep moist and remove faded flowers regularly to prolong flowering from July to October.
