Coriander Herb Seeds are an essential addition to any herb garden, offering both culinary versatility and ease of cultivation. The fresh, aromatic leaves add a vibrant flavour to a variety of dishes, especially when sprinkled over curries or mixed into salads. Young coriander leaves bring a zesty twist to a salad of mixed greens, while the seeds are quick to grow and can be used whole or ground for cooking. Easy to cultivate and fast-growing, this herb is perfect for garden beds, containers, or even a sunny windowsill, ensuring a steady supply of fresh ingredients for your kitchen.

Want to know more about our Coriander herb seeds? We answer your questions here.
Yes, Coriander is exceptionally easy to grow from seed. Simply sow them thinly in a pot of well-drained, moist compost. Cover with around 1cm of compost and water them well. Keep them somewhere warm out of direct sunlight. Avoid transplanting Coriander as this can cause it to bolt. Sow every few weeks for a steady supply of young, tender leaves. Ensure the plants are kept watered, but not too moist.
Yes, you can sow Coriander in September in the UK. They are best sown between March and September, every few weeks to keep a steady harvest. Coriander seeds sown in September will grow well, as they do not like a lot of heat.
With some protection from frosts, Coriander can survive winter in the UK. It is half-hardy but cannot cope with prolonged or particularly deep freezes, so it’s best grown in cloches, cold frames or a greenhouse over winter. However, in the summer, these may be too hot for it, causing it to go to seed quickly.
