Chives Biggy Seeds are a high yielding variety producing thick, fleshy leaves packed with fresh onion flavour. Long lasting plants show good resistance to rust, making them a reliable choice for kitchen gardens, containers and indoor growing all year round. Snip leaves regularly to encourage fresh growth and enjoy a steady harvest to flavour salads, soups, omelettes and potato dishes.

Indoor sowing: Sow March-May or all year round in pots of moist compost. Cover lightly and keep at 15-20°C under glass or propagator lid. Seedlings appear in 14-28 days. Remove cover and thin if required. Harden off before planting outdoors 20cm apart or grow indoors in pots. Outdoor sowing: Sow March-May direct into growing position and thin to 15cm apart. Harvest leaves as required from June onwards outdoors or all year indoors.
