Outdoor sowing: Sow March-July thinly in rows 30cm apart in a prepared seed bed. Cover lightly with fine soil and keep moist. Seedlings appear in 14-21 days. Sow every 2-3 weeks for continuous crops. Harvest alternate young roots first to allow others to mature fully. Keep weed free and water regularly to prevent splitting. Harvest June-November. Lift remaining roots in autumn and store in dry sand.
