Grafted Tomato Buffalo Steak F1 Vegetable Plants are a cut above the rest. These beefsteak F1 tomatoes are meaty, with bright red flesh and a rich, old-fashioned flavour. Early to produce and more productive than many similar varieties, these vigorous plants continue cropping throughout a long growing season. Indeterminate in nature, they are perfect for extended harvests.
Grafted vegetable plants offer us gardeners’ plants with greater vigour and enhanced resistance to soil-borne pests and diseases, such as nematodes – particularly useful if you grow in the greenhouse border soil each year, where crop rotation is limited. The grafting process combines the best attributes of two plants – a robust species rootstock and a hybrid variety – resulting in strong, vigorous plants that yield more fruits and heavier crops.
Although traditionally grown in greenhouses, we have found that when placed in a warm and sunny position, these plants also crop well outdoors, giving even more reason to grow them. Supplied as well-established plants in 9cm pots. Please note – do not remove the plastic grafting clip; it will fall off naturally as the plant grows.
