Brussels Sprout Crispus F1 are especially hardy Brussels sprouts seeds, being an early to mid-season hybrid that make for easy growing. These disease-resistant vegetable seeds are particularly resistant to clubroot, making for an ideal choice if this disease is common within your veg plot.
As a sturdy grower, the dark green buttons stand in good condition on the tall plants for several weeks. Additionally, the buttons have a sweet and crunchy flavour which makes them ideal for those who may not be fond of the bitter flavour certain varieties have.
Shop Brussels Sprout Crispus F1 seeds at D.T. Brown and add some great, homegrown flavour to your plate.

When growing Brussels Sprout Crispus F1 seeds, you can grow them either indoors or outdoors.
Indoors: Sow these seeds indoors between February and March in pots or trays of compost, 1.5cm/half-inch deep. Transplant them when the seedlings are large enough to handle to further pots or trays, spacing them 5cm/2in apart. Harden off in May, spacing them 60cm/24in apart.
Outdoors: Sow these seeds outdoors in March, 1.5cm/half-inch deep. Then, transplant them in May, 60cm/24in apart and water in well.
They will be then ready for harvest after growing indoors or outdoors between August and November. They are suitable for freezing if you wish to prolong their shelf life.
Brussels Sprout Crispus F1 seeds are often chosen especially for their disease resistance, being particularly resistant to clubroot as a vigorous and hardy variety.
For more information about clubroot and how to prevent it, read our guide on how to prevent clubroot disease.
Whilst some Brussels sprout varieties can taste a little bitter, Crispus F1 seeds are enjoyed for their sweet and crunchy taste.
