Our Kelsae plants have become a 'must have' for anyone wishing to exhibit at local shows right through to National Championships. You can be confident of show bench success with this renowned and undisputed winner.

Around show circles, The Kelsae has a reputation that is second to none. The first choice of growers who wish to exhibit huge onions, this unique variety is a regular winner in the NVS 'large exhibition' and ‘1kg to 1.5kg' onion classes. The Kelsae has had an unrivalled pedigree for many years, culminating in success in recent NVS National Championships in 3 classes.

Unlike many other large onion varieties, the Kelsae has a wonderful sweet flavour and is therefore perfect for the kitchen too, superb for cooking or eating raw in salads.

By growing them as plants, we do the hard work for you. Traditionally sown on Boxing day, the plants are individually modular grown to minimise root disturbance. We will nurture them over the winter and manage all stages of production for you. You'll receive healthy, strong young plants with well developed root systems that are ready to plant out upon arrival.
