We at D.T. Brown take great care in the production and selection of our product items. We genuinely care that we provide quality product to ensure all our customers have great success with their gardens. However we are only human and very occasionally mistakes happen, but please rest assured, we will always do our very best to put things right. If you are not 100% satisfied with the products we provide we will gladly send you a replacement or refund the purchase price upon request.

Our seed is tested in our own laboratory on site for the highest quality and where appropriate we pack the seed in hermetically sealed foil sachets for freshness. If you are unhappy with any of our seed, for any reason, please return it to us for a 'no quibble' replacement or refund as appropriate. None of our seed has been genetically modified.

UK Postage

Postage and packing (p&p) is applied in conjunction with the type of product you are ordering (e.g seed postage and packing is less than postage packaging for potatoes). This will be shown in your order before you proceed to order processing.

International Orders

Seed orders that are sent internationally incur a postage charge of £3.50 per order. Catalogue requests to overseas addresses also incur a small charge of £1.50 to contribute towards the high costs of mailing abroad.

We cannot send non-seed items such as potatoes, onions, fruit, plants and sundries or other items outside the United Kingdom. There are no exceptions to this policy.

Due to restrictions imposed by agricultural bureaux, at this time we are not sending any orders or catalogues to addresses outside the UK or EU. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes.

We can send flower seed only to Canadian addresses but no other items. Restrictions imposed by Agricultural authorities prevent us being able to send vegetable, herb and non-seed items.

Payment Policy

It is our normal ordering procedure to take payment at the time of order. Your order will be debited in Sterling currency. If purchasing from outside the United Kingdom please check with your credit card provider for the latest exchange rates and commission fees.

Privacy Policy

We at D.T. Brown are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information that we collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). This information is collected when you request a catalogue or place an order by recording the details you include. We use this information for:

(a) Sending you the items ordered/requested.
(b) Keeping you informed of our most recent catalogues and offers.
(c) Order tracking and analysis.
(d) Sending details of special offers and newsletters that you subscribe to.

You may elect to have your name removed from our mailing list at any time, including when you place your order or catalogue request. We will always give you the chance to refuse any marketing email from us or from another trader in the future. Our records will include the following personal records:

• phone number
• email address
• previous orders

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by telephoning us on 0845 166 2275 or emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it immediately.

The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy. If we intend to transfer your information outside the EEA (European Economic Area) we will always obtain your consent first.

Waste Electrical & Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive

The EU has introduced legislation relating to recycling "Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment" ("WEEE"). Currently, most WEEE is disposed of with general domestic waste and is land filled. Separate collection allows WEEE to be recycled; this saves energy and resources and avoids hazardous materials from WEEE going to landfill. On new items of electronic equipment which you buy you will see the symbol:

This symbol means that you should not dispose of this product in your dustbin with your mixed domestic waste. You should dispose of this product separately.

Under these regulations we are obliged to offer our customers free take-back of their WEEE on a like-for-like basis when they buy a new electrical or electronic product from us. Such items can be returned to us (carriage paid by the customer) at our normal address, within 28 days of purchasing the new item. Please mark these items "WEEE return". We will then ensure proper environmental disposal. In helping to separately collect WEEE you will ensure that recycling, as required by the WEEE Directive, takes place and the amount of WEEE being land filled is reduced thereby helping to improve the environment.
