How long will my order take to be delivered?
For orders to UK addresses, D.T. Brown aim to send your order as soon as possible. Seed orders should reach you within 7 to 10 working days. Non-seed items are only sent when they are ready for your garden, as listed alongside each product entry.
What happens if I'm not in when my order is delivered?
If you are likely to be away when your order is due to be delivered please contact us at least 3 weeks prior to delivery and we will arrange for delivery to alternate address. Unfortunately we cannot hold orders to be delivered at a later date or be held responsible for non-collected items held by the post office.
I am not in the UK, can I place an order?
Unfortunately D.T. Brown is unable to send non-seed items outside of the UK such as potatoes, onions, fruits and plants. There are no exceptions to this policy. Due to current restrictions imposed by agricultural bureaux, we are not sending any orders or catalogues to addresses outside the UK and EU. Please accept our apologises for any inconvenience caused.
What are the last order dates?
Live products are sent out at the optimum time for planting. Therefore your plants will be sent out at specific times of the year. Due to this we have a last order date to ensure we have your order in time for the plants to be sent out, and ensure our customers aren't let down ordering product we can't supply.
Will I receive confirmation of my order?
Yes, we will send you an email to confirm the order you have placed. This will include a list of the products you have ordered, total cost and the delivery address.
When I log in I have an address book, what is this for?
The address book allows you to store a billing and delivery address on your account. So when you place your order you can choose which of these addresses you would like your order to be sent to.
My email address has changed, how do I change it to ensure I still receive my D.T. Brown email newsletters and order confirmations?
All you need to do is visit your account setting page, where you can amend the email address we hold for you at the bottom of this page.
What are the postage charges?
Postage and packing is 95p for seed only orders. All non-seed items have a £4.95 charge no matter how many non-seed items you order. If you are ordering from overseas within the EU there is a £5.00 P&P charge. We regret that we can only send seed packets to non UK addresses. We cannot guarantee that any seeds which are sent outside the EU will comply with local customs or plant health regulations. Postage charges will automatically be added to your basket.
What is a security number?
The security number verifies that you are in possession of the credit or debit card at the point of placing your order. The security number has been implemented as another layer of protection against fraud.
When is a security number needed?
Your security number is needed online or by phone, or anywhere that your identity can’t be verified.
Where can I find the security number?
You can find the 3 digit security number on the back of your card, usually within or next to the security strip.
