SOW OUTDOORS February-May. Make a drill where they are to crop. Depth: Half-inch/1.5cm. Secure one end of the tape with a stone and gently roll out, cover lightly with fine soil. Spacing: 12in/30cm between rows. Thin out if necessary to 8in/20cm apart. Keep well watered during dry spells Harvest October-February, sow at four weekly intervals for a continuous supply. Leave the roots in the ground until required, the flavour improves with frost.
