Chilli peppers can easily be grown in pots on the patio or amongst your tomatoes in the greenhouse. They are perfect for adding colour, heat and spice to all manner of dishes.
How to grow the hottest chillies!
1. Heat makes heat! Grow chillies indoors or undercover in a consistently hot temperature (minimum 16˚C). They don’t like fluctuating heat or humidity.
2. Growing in pots gives a smaller plant with more fruit but remember to keep the compost moist and once flowering feed regularly with a liquid fertiliser.
3. For maximum heat reduce watering once fruit has formed – this makes the chillies even hotter!
