Sow indoors December - February, December for exhibition, 1.5cm/half-inch deep. Temperature of 60-70°F/15-20°C. Transplant to a cold frame in March or April. Harden off in May, spacings 30cm/12in, in rows 30cm/12in apart. Sow outdoors in March - April in final growing position. Keep well watered and weed free and top dress with a good general fertilizer. Harvest August - September. Lift and store in a cool, dry, airy place.
