The aromatic foliage of thyme will fill the air with scent on a warm sunny day. While its flowers are a magnet to wildlife, its edible leaves make it one of the most useful herbs in the kitchen, used fresh or dried to flavour soups, stews, fish, meat, and vegetable dishes. A versatile plant, with attractive foliage, long lasting, pretty flowers, and drought tolerant too!
Top tip : Thyme plants should be trimmed hard after flowering to ensure lots of new shoots for use in the kitchen and also to keep the plant neat and compact.
