Salad plants grow best in full sun, with well drained reasonably fertile soil. Salad leaves will thrive in soil where well-rotted compost or manure (such as Orgro) has been dug in. Keep plants well-watered, especially in dry periods and harvest leaves when they are at desired size. For successful cut and come again crops, harvest leaves individually- taking little but often will keep the plants cropping for longer. Leaves are best when picked and used fresh however, leaves will store in the fridge for several days. Read more
About our Veg Plants
Vegetable plants are the perfect choice if you don’t have the time or facilities to grow lots of different varieties from seed. They are also useful for replacing plants lost to the weather or pests and diseases. Grown by experienced nurserymen, our plants will be delivered at the right time for growing in their final position on your plot. Hand graded and packed, they are sent directly from the nursery and fully hardened off before despatch. All varieties are supplied with easy-to-follow growing hints and instructions. Show less

Please accept our apologies in advance should this result in your having to wait longer than normal in a call queue. We’re working hard to expand capacity and hope to be able to extend operating hours in the near future.
