There's still time to fill that harvest gap after the summer brassicas have finished but before the winter ones start cropping. By planting in July you will have ‘greens’ right through until October and November. Cabbage Dutchman-One of the most versatile providers of spring greens we have found! Delicious tasting greens which are easy to grow and generally trouble free. Superb frost tolerance. Harvest from August.
Cabbage Savoy Serve F1 AGM-An excellent variety with dense, medium sized
heads with all the flavour of a winter crop. Harvest late August-September.
Cauliflower Sapporo-An outstanding summer and autumn variety, producing large, uniform, pure white curds of superb quality. The ample foliage can be carefully folded over the heads to protect them from the sun if desired. Resistant to a range of root diseases. Harvest from August.
Kale Nero di Toscana-Dark green, deeply savoyed leaves with a unique texture and flavour. Winter hardy, easy to grow, can be eaten raw or cooked. Very popular with top chefs and striking in the garden. H from late August.
Calabrese Marathon F1- One of the most reliable broccolis, Marathon is greatly appreciated by our customers for the fine quality of its tasty heads, its ability to do well in nearly all soils and its splendid disease resistances. Harvest from late August.
