Blackberry Little Black Prince (Primocane)

A new introduction, this compact and thornless variety grows no more than 1m/40in high – perfect for a sunny patio! Tried and tested in the UK to produce a bumper crop of sweet and juicy, glossy black berries on an easy to grow plant. Fruiting from early July on old wood, but continues on new season growth from August until the frosts – a true everbearing blackberry!

The 2ltr plants are, on average, a year older than 9cm potted varieties and due to the larger pot, the roots have more room to grow and develop which in turn allows them to absorb more nutrition, resulting in stronger and healthier plants.

Floricane varieties fruit on canes produced in the previous year while Primocane varieties produce fruits on current season growth.
