Autumn Planting Garlic Bulb Collection
Despatches From :- To be confirmed
This great value autumn planting garlic collection includes:-
Provence Wight (Softneck) - 2 bulbs - A really large, white softneck garlic which can produce, in a good growing season, bulbs that are of a similar size to Elephant Garlic! The cloves are fat and juicy.
Kingsland Wight (Hardneck) - 2 bulbs - Kingsland Wight really is one of the finest new garlics we have found for a while and is certainly worthy of its royal name! This beautiful garlic is a white skinned hardneck with stunning plump pink cloves – reminiscent of the historical Rose de Lautrec, held by French gourmands to be France’s finest garlic. Best results are from an autumn planting but good results can also be achieved from planting in early spring in the south.
Elephant Garlic - 5 cloves - Closer to leeks than to true garlic, you will produce large bulbs up to 10cm/4in across with jumbo-sized cloves. It has a mild, almost sweet flavour which can be appreciated if cloves are chopped into salads or roasted whole and served as a special vegetable.
These varieties are perfect for autumn planting – tried and tested, we know that they perform well. We choose only the finest quality bulbs. Each year we work with our friends at the Garlic Farm, one of the world’s leading garlic farms, and all of our garlic is sourced from them ensuring we always supply superior top quality garlic from expert growers.
You should always buy garlic from a reputable source and never plant shop bought, cooking garlic. All of our bulbs are certified as disease and virus free.
