If you'd like to receive a free copy of our latest catalogue, please enter your name and address details below. Our Spring catalogue will be mailed from January 2021- Requests received in the meantime will be held until then. We regret that we cannot supply catalogues or any orders outside of the UK. There are no exceptions to this policy.
Every year, we trial a number of new seed varieties, in order to see which are worth adding to, or retaining within our ranges in following years. We test these on our own trial ground, but this can only ever indicate how the variety performs in our local area, with its particular soil type and climate. What grows well in the sandy soil of our trial ground on the edge of Suffolk Breckland will doubtless perform very differently in the Scottish Highlands, or in wet, heavy Devon clay.
To help gain additional feedback from growers with differing soil types and in other parts of the country, we supply FREE trial seed with every seed order. We're always keen to hear how these perform, whether it's the best tasting variety you've ever grown, or if it struggles to thrive in a particular soil type. If feedback is particularly positive, we may even be able to produce seed in larger volumes, passing the savings on to our customers!
2021 Free Trial Seed Variety - Parsnip Sabre F1
Parsnip Sabre F1 a high-quality British- bred variety with long and extremely white, smooth skinned roots that will do well on the showbench. The attractive roots have a very good flavour and show good resistance to canker. Parsnip Sabre F1 has been bred from the same breeders as our best-selling Gladiator F1 and Javelin F1 so we certainly have high hopes! 100 seeds FREE with every seed order.
Please note: we do our best to supply FREE trial seed with all orders throughout the season. However, the free seed is subject to availability and from time to time we might sell out. To avoid delays in getting your order out to you these orders will be sent without trial seed.
Previous Trial Seed Varieties
The following products are varieties which we have given away during previous customer seed trials in the past. Having proven to be popular with our customers, they have subsequently been added to our range.
