SOW OUTDOORS March - May, thinly a half-inch (1.5cm) deep in flowering position. Or, September - October in pots in a cold frame or greenhouse. Plant out autumn sown plants in April, disturbing roots as little as possible. Spacing: 23cm apart. Flowers June to October. Train young plants up a fence or wall, or support with sticks or netting. Pinch out all but one growing per plant. Pick regularly to prolong flowering. Uses in borders or as a cut flower.
