Rhubarb Crowns, Red Champagne

A very good early variety, which can be forced into March production, or allowed to crop naturally in May. It gives plenty of long, tasty stems with a deliciously sweet flavour. Rhubarb is becoming more popular nowadays, and Champagne is one of the best varieties for both experienced and
new gardeners. It is wonderful stewed or in pies, but how about making rhubarb and ginger jam?
