Horseradish Thongs

Horseradish is well-known for its fresh, spicy and flavourful roots which are delicious eaten freshly grated into dishes.  Simple to grow in the UK climate it is a must have for the plot where the horseradish root can be harvested from autumn, Horseradish thongs (roots) grow best in deep well-drained soil which has had plenty of well-rotted farmyard manure or garden compost added to it.
