Garlic Collection
£10.15 per 2x 2 bulbs plus 10 cloves

Including:- 2 Albigensian Wight bulbs, 2 Chesnock Wight bulbs an 10 Elephant cloves.

Save £5! This collection will give you great garlic variety and all are proven to grow well in the UK.

Garlic Venetian Wight
£4.95 per 2 bulbs

This softneck variety has a very dense bulb which has an intense flavour much prized in Umbrian and Tuscan dishes. Although a smaller bulb than some, what it lacks in size it makes up for with flavour. It will keep well to the March the year after harvest.

Garlic, Albinensian Wight
£3.95 per 2 bulbs

A top class 'soft neck' strain, being a vigorous grower, high yielder and very good keeper. Originally from south west France (but produced in Britain), it can be autumn- or spring-planted. Autumn planting gives the best green bulbs in June, known as 'wet garlic'. Enjoy its superb flavour raw or cooked in a host of recipes.

Garlic, Chesnok Wight
£4.25 per 2 bulbs

A garlic with an ancient heritage, this purple hardneck originates from southern Ukraine. Usually ready for lifting from mid June, the cloves have an excellent, robust flavour, which are lovely roasted or added to stir-fry dishes.

Garlic, Elephant
£6.95 per 10 cloves

Closer to leeks than to true garlic, you will produce large bulbs up to 4in (10cm) across with jumbo-sized cloves. It has a mild, almost sweet flavour which can be appreciated if cloves are chopped into salads or roasted whole and served as a special vegetable.

Garlic, Lautrec Wight
£4.25 per 2 bulbs

Originally from the village of Lautrec in south western France, it is regarded by many in that country as the ultimate garlic for the kitchen. The white skinned, deep purple cloves have a smooth, creamy texture and flavour, which is delightfully subtle.

Garlic, Picardy Wight
£3.95 per 2 bulbs

From the historical province of Picardy in Northern France, this is a strong flavoured garlic which can plant right up to late April. You will be rewarded with approximately 15 cloves per bulb with a distinctive pink hue. It's also a good keeper.

Garlic, Purple Heritage Moldovan
£4.95 per 2 bulbs

A splendid relic from the Samartian civilisation of the Black Sea, this 'hard neck' garlic has large, juicy cloves of fine flavour. It also produces 'rocamboles' to add to pickles and stir-fries.

Garlic, Solent Wight
£3.95 per 2 bulbs

The best keeping garlic we know, the bulbs can last as long as the following March after lifting them in July. This superb, softneck strain yields large, high quality bulbs with a fragrance which is both long and strong.

Garlic, Tuscany Wight
£4.95 per 2 bulbs

Another late type, this variety is widely grown in Tuscany where it suits the warmer summers and cooler winters rather than the blasting heat of southern Italy. This garlic has large cloves and is widely used in Umbrian chicken dishes.

Heat Treated Onion Set Collection
£4.90 per 250g of Hytech and Red Baron

Heat treating our onion sets is rather like turbo-charging them! The process takes several months, but the process means they establish and grow very rapidly, giving higher yields - and with virtually no risk of prematurely running to seed or 'bolting'. This totally natural process is not usually complete until late March/early April, and we despatch your sets as soon as they are ready for immediate planting.

Hytech This onion takes some beating for its all-round performance. It gives heavy yields of attractive, gold skinned bulbs which maintain their good flavour and crispness through the winter and beyond.

Red Baron The best red-skinned variety, the attractive, crimson-skinned bulbs when sliced reveal contrasting red and white rings, making it most attractive on the plate. Red Baron has a lovely, robust flavour and is a remarkably good keeper. The perfect partner for Hytech.

Kelsae Onion Plants
£5.95 per 40x module raised plants

Around the country, the Kelsae has a reputation second-to-none and is one of the mainstays of the show circuit, producing well formed, globe-shaped onions with a glowing red tint to the skin. However, unlike many show varieties it has a wonderful sweet flavour, even when large. Whether you plan to grow for showing or to produce a heavy crop of sweet tasting, mild onions for cooking or eating raw, the Kelsae is the one to grow!

Tradionally sown around Christmas time, we will manage all stages of production for you until the transplanting stage. Plants will be despatched in peak condition in mid April 2010 as module grown plants. Harvest from August onwards. Full growing instructins provided.

Onion Fertiliser
£5.45 per 1.5kg

Specailly formulated to N11:P22:K22, it will benefit both onions and garlic, giving plants just the boost they need. High in phosphorous for good bulb development and high in potash to boost disease resistance, we recommend this excellent fertiliser. Supplied in easy-to-use granular form. Spread at 120gm per square meter. Mix well into the root zone.

Onion Nets
£3.95 per 5 Nets. Each holds up to 20kg

Just the job for keeping your crop of onions in tip-top condition for several months, our nets allow good air circulation. Once the skins of the bulbs have 'set', hang them in onion nets in a dry, airy, frost-free place. Never store onions in plastic bags as this will cause them to rot.

Onion Plant Collection
£6.95 per 60 plants, 20 of each variety

Red Baron A most attractive and high yielding red onion. The red and white ringed bulbs will keep until the following spring.

Sherpa F1 A classic globe-shaped onion with a wonderful, golden skin. Plants have good tolerance of downy mildew and the strongly flavoured bulbs keep well.

Arthur F1 A great choice for salads and stir fry dishes, this high yielder produces uniform bulbs, which store well and have a great quality and flavour.

Onion Set Collection
£6.85 per 250g of Setton, Sturon and Hercules

No kitchen garden is complete without its onions, garlic and shallots and we offer some of the very best of each. Growing onions from sets (immature bulbs) is a sure-fire way of having a fine crop next summer, which can then be stored for several months. They mature quicker than seed-raised onions and are less demanding in their requirements, making them a great choice for both experienced and new vegetable gardeners. A 250gm pack contains around 80 sets for planting.

Hercules A superb new variety which gives high yields of almost spherical bulbs with rich, golden skins and firm, well flavoured flesh. Hercules shows very good resistance to bolting and will keep for several months. We thoroughly recommend this outstanding strain.

Setton An improvement on Sturon, the bulbs are slighter flatter and it matures a few days later, but Setton gives a heavier yield of onions which store a little better. Golden skinned and a good keeper, this is also a good variety to choose for showing.

Sturon A reliable and consistent performer, the fairly large, straw coloured bulbs have a good flavour and will keep well.

Onion, Hercules
£3.25 per 1x 250g

A superb new variety which gives high yields of almost spherical bulbs with rich, golden skins and firm, well flavoured flesh. Hercules shows very good resistance to bolting and will keep for several months. We thoroughly recommend this outstanding strain.
