(White seeded) The gardeners' favourite broad bean for more than a century and still our most popular spring-sown variety. Expect up to 8 delicious white beans from this reliable performer. A great one for freezing and for the show bench.
(Violet seeded) This select Italian strain is much more than just a novelty, for the violet coloured broad beans are utterly delicious and retain much of their colour when steamed. This very early variety produces long pods, each with six or seven beans.
(White seeded) This improved selection of our Bunyards is the finest of all the 'longpods', it can yield up to 10 delicious beans per pod. Excellent for both the kitchen and for exhibiting.
(Green seeded) In our opinion, quite simply the tastiest broad bean. It celebrates its 200th birthday in 2009 and is still widely grown by discerning gardeners. Not as high yielding as longpods, but worth the space in any garden.
(Green seeded) A tall growing variety which produces extra-long pods up to 14in (35cm) long and up to nine tasty beans per pod. Perfect cooked and added warm to a potato salad!
(White seeded) The highest yielding, improved Windsor type currently available. Exhibition-quality, broad pods hold superbly flavoured beans.

Fancy a 'mangetout' broad bean? The pods of Stereo can picked when very young, when the beans inside are tiny, and cooked just like mangetout peas, which are now very popular with gardeners and cooks. And, of course, there is no waste. If you prefer, they can be left to mature and cooked as usual. Either way, this is a tasty treat.
(White seeded) The very best variety for autumn sowing and the earliest crops the following summer. Aquadulce is very hardy and while the plants are reasonably compact they produce long pods filled with delicious beans.

The word 'breakthrough' can be overused, but not in this case! From a February sowing, expect to be picking spears of tender Bordeaux purple sprouting from July of the same year onwards. The flavour is tip-top.
