A superb culinary onion and favoured showbench variety, plus a regular award winner - what more could you ask? The Kelsae has a lovely sweet flavour, even at a large size. Your plants will be module grown from true 'raisers stock' and sown over the Christmas period, the traditional sowing time. We will then manage all stages of production up until the transplanting stage, when they will be delivered to you around mid April 2009.
Grow our two varieties of leeks for up to eight months' supply of this delicious and versatile vegetable. Both Carlton F1 and Sultan F1 will stand in good condition for many weeks, needing only to be lifted as required. They are outstanding varieties, which we thoroughly recommend.Why not order an extra pack to lift young in summer as extra succulent and tasty baby leeks? They are superb for adding to stir fry dishes, salads or steamed for a few minutes and served with a cheese sauce.Carlton F1 This early variety is ready from August, but will stand until October if required. The stems are long, with a good length of white. There is little waste and no 'bulbing' with this excellent hybrid.Sultan F1 Takes over from Carlton F1 in November and its slender, dense shanks can be pulled right through to March. High yielding and with a fine flavour, the plants have white tip and rust resistance.

Matures outdoors in good British summers, it was bred with this in mind. Even better in a greenhouse. Sweet fruits with attractive, dark orange flesh of great quality and flavour.

Red Baron A most attractive and high yielding red onion. The red and white ringed bulbs will keep until the following spring.Sherpa F1 A classic globe-shaped onion with a wonderful, golden skin. Plants have good tolerance of downy mildew and the strongly flavoured bulbs keep well.Arthur F1 A great choice for salads and stir fry dishes, this high yielder produces uniform bulbs, which store well and have a great quality and flavour.
No kitchen garden is complete without its onions, garlic and shallots and we offer some of the very best of each. Growing onions from sets (immature bulbs) is a sure-fire way of having a fine crop next summer, which can then be stored for several months. They mature quicker than seed-raised onions and are less demanding in their requirements, making them a great choice for both experienced and new vegetable gardeners. White skinned, as its name suggests, Snowball has a lovely, mild flavour and the bulbs keep well. A great choice for baking whole with the Sunday roast!

(Second Early) Bred from the famed Pink Fir Apple, this outstanding variety is ready to harvest around three months earlier, so there is no need to wait for those firm, waxy tubers with that distinctive, rather nutty taste.
