Improve your yields with these organic 'Boosters'! Each pack contains an organic treatment which has a live culture of natural and harmless soil bacteria which in turn penetrate the plant roots to help them 'fix' nitrogen to produce bigger crops on healthier plants. They do not supply nitrogen to any other plants such as weeds!
(White seeded) The classic variety for autumn sowing, they withstand the worst of winters to give an early crop in well filled pods on compact plants.
(White seeded) Perfect for exposed sites or small gardens, this is the lowest growing broad bean. Gives a good crop of fine flavoured beans.
A great flavour and deservedly so. If left to mature, it yields medium sized, dark green heads, but it is just as good grown at closer spacing as spring greens.
The sweetest flavoured spring cabbage, its small heads are quite delicious. The flavour is perhaps better still when harvested as really young spring greens.
A top quality hybrid particularly well suited to growing as spring greens. It has an excellent flavour, is thoroughly hardy and keeps its colour well.
This much-loved summer cabbage is just as good when treated as a spring cabbage. An improvement on Greyhound, Hispi F1 has medium to large heads of really good flavour and texture.
Small but perfectly formed, Pixie produces small, solid heads of fine flavour and texture. Early to mature, it can be planted very close if required for tender spring greens.
The first and only ballhead spring cabbage, Spring Hero F1 is more than just a novelty. The large, heavy heads, which stand in good condition for weeks, are ideal for large households.
Can be over-wintered if desired for an extra early crop of top class, tightly domed heads. It can also be planted closer together than many others, making the most of garden space. Once the central head is cut, delicious smaller side shoots are produced. Plants are highly resistant to foliar downy mildew.
One of the earliest and tastiest carrot, especially when sown early and protected with cloches. Lift as baby carrots, steam and toss in butter for a spring treat.
Still THE maincrop carrot - very hardy and keeps well in the ground until required.
The classic early carrot, but equally good for 'little and often' sowings through several months.
This ball-rooted early strain is perfect for growing in even shallow containers on the patio or balcony! Quick to mature and absolutely delicious, sow every two weeks for a continuous spring and summer supply.
Marked resistance to carrot fly is not the only reason to grow this Nantes-type. Its flavour is sweet, and the roots have little core. The perfect finger carrot for late Autumn.
