Want to learn more about our Sweet Million tomato seeds? We answer your questions here.
Sow Sweet Million tomato seeds indoors from late February to early April at 18-21°C in trays or modules, covering lightly with compost; they germinate in 7-14 days. Pot on into individual pots when two true leaves appear, harden off gradually, and plant outdoors after all frost risk (late May/June) in a sunny, sheltered spot 45-60cm apart, or in large pots/greenhouse. Water consistently without waterlogging, feed weekly with tomato food once fruits form, and support vigorous cordon plants with stakes or canes as they reach 2m.
Sweet Million tomato plants are a cordon or indeterminate variety and grow tall up to 2m, needing regular pinching out of side shoots. They require staking or cane support to train the single main stem for better fruiting. Unlike compact bush tomatoes, Sweet Million plants keep producing fruit trusses continuously when side shoots are removed.
Sweet Million tomatoes typically take 7-14 days to germinate from seed. Your first harvest will be in about 65-75 days (roughly 9-11 weeks) after transplanting outdoors in late May/June, with continuous cropping through summer into autumn.
